Add, use and remove the Loopion app for Zoom

The Loopion app for Zoom lets you ask Loopion about the meeting you are in, and opens your whole Loopion workspace inside the Zoom client. This page covers adding it, using it, and removing it — including exactly what data is involved at each step.

Before you start

  • You need a Loopion account. The app matches your Zoom sign-in to an existing Loopion account — it never creates one for you.
  • You need to be a member of a Loopion workspace. If you have an account but no workspace, the app will prompt you to create one or ask a colleague for an invite.
  • Zoom desktop client 5.11.3 or later, on Windows or macOS. Zoom Apps are not available in the browser client.
Note: Don't have a Loopion account yet? Start at loopion.ai — you can create one and add the Zoom app afterwards.

Adding the app

  1. 1Go to loopion.ai/integrations/zoom and sign in to Loopion if you are not already.
  2. 2Click 'Add to Zoom'. You will be taken to the Zoom App Marketplace listing for Loopion.
  3. 3Click Add, then review the requested permission. Loopion asks for one scope only — view your Zoom profile — which it uses to read your email address and match you to your Loopion account.
  4. 4Click Allow. Zoom returns you to Loopion and confirms the app is connected.
  5. 5Open the Zoom desktop client, click Apps in the toolbar, and select Loopion.
Note: If the app says it can't find a Loopion account for your Zoom email, sign in to Loopion in your browser with the address your Zoom account uses, then reopen the app and choose 'check again'.

Using it during a meeting

  1. 1While in a meeting, open Apps in the Zoom toolbar and choose Loopion.
  2. 2The side panel opens Ask Loopion. It works out which of your meeting series you are in and selects it for you; if the guess is wrong, pick a different one from the dropdown.
  3. 3Ask a question in plain language — what was decided last time, what is still outstanding, who owns what — and Loopion answers from the meeting series' memory.
  • Detection uses the Zoom meeting topic where Zoom provides it, and otherwise whatever is on your calendar at that moment. It is only ever a default — you can always change it.
  • Nothing in the panel is visible to other participants. It renders only for you.

Using it outside a meeting

  1. 1In the Zoom desktop client, click Apps and select Loopion.
  2. 2Outside a meeting the app opens your full Loopion workspace: dashboard, calendar, meetings, Action Centre, analytics and settings.
  3. 3Use the sidebar to move between sections exactly as you would on the web.
  • What you can see depends on your Loopion role. Analytics and Team Management require Manager; Workspace settings and Security require Owner.
  • Billing is not available inside the Zoom client. Manage your plan at loopion.ai in your browser.

What the app can and cannot see

  • The app requests a single Zoom scope: view your Zoom profile. It reads your email address once, to match you to your Loopion account.
  • Loopion does not store your Zoom access token. The token is used for that one profile lookup and then discarded.
  • The app has no access to your Zoom meetings, recordings, chat or contacts. Everything it displays comes from your own Loopion workspace.
  • Meeting summaries and actions come from the Loopion meeting assistant, which joins calls as a clearly named, visible participant — a separate feature you control from your Loopion settings.

Removing the app

  1. 1Sign in at marketplace.zoom.us and click Manage in the top right.
  2. 2Click Added Apps on the left, or search for the Loopion app.
  3. 3Select the Loopion app and click Remove.
  4. 4Choose a reason if you wish, then click Remove to confirm.
  • Zoom notifies Loopion immediately. We delete the link between your Zoom identity and your Loopion account — the stored Zoom user ID and account ID are cleared.
  • There is no Zoom access token to revoke, because we never stored one.
  • The app disappears from your Zoom client. Your Loopion account, workspace, meetings and actions are untouched and remain available at loopion.ai.
  • To delete your Loopion data as well, use Settings → My Settings in Loopion, or email privacy@loopion.ai to request erasure under GDPR.
Note: Removing the Zoom app does not stop the Loopion meeting assistant from joining meetings. That is controlled separately in your Loopion workspace settings.

Troubleshooting

  • 'We couldn't find a Loopion account' — your Zoom email differs from your Loopion email. Sign in to Loopion with the Zoom address, or ask your workspace owner to invite that address.
  • 'Open this from the Loopion app inside Zoom' — you are viewing the app URL in a normal browser. Zoom Apps only run inside the Zoom desktop client.
  • Blank panel or a sign-in loop — sign out of Zoom and back in, then reopen the app. Zoom clears app sessions on sign-out, which triggers a fresh authorisation.
  • Still stuck — email support@loopion.ai with your Zoom email address and the time it happened.
